About
Hej hej!
I am a design research leader with 11+ years of experience within UX research where I employ a mixed-method approach to generate rich, actionable customer insights to support innovation and development.
I have significant experience strategically growing user research practices and its operations within organizations. I am a vocal advocate for the business value of human-centered design and I have a wealth of experience training and mentoring others on how to engage with customer research.
I am originally from the United States, but I am currently located in Stockholm, Sweden.
I received my PhD in Industrial Design at Umeå Institute of Design in March 2016. My doctoral research focused upon the cancer patient experience of radiotherapy, and aimed to increase patient knowledge, participation, and power within this treatment process through design.
In addition to my doctorate, I hold dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Social Anthropology and Biology from MIT, a Master of Science in Cancer Biology from Stanford University, and a Master of Design in Designed Objects from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
